A six-year-old TEDx speaker: Brighten up your day with this talk by first-grader Rashid Arafath at TEDxAmanaAcademy, about how his campaign to help the homeless plant their own food.

From Rashid’s talk:

When I bring my food home from school, my mom tells me I need to finish my food. I asked her, “Why?”

She said, “There’s so many people around the world who have no food.”

That makes me sad. So I decided to not waste food and help those people, by teaching them how to plant their own food and change their life.

This is how we’re going to change the world. With kids like this, but with ideas like this. Throwing money at the problem works short term, but this. This is so much better.
